Australian Rosé - a great Summer wine: James Halliday
2016 Alternatus Rosé.
Grenache, Tempranillo, Graciano & Carignan.
94 Points: Mr James Halliday.
Summer is here and it's in a bottle...
Summer has definitely arrived in McLaren Vale, and so has a brand new 94 POINT review of our new Alternatus Rosé from James Halliday, Australia's leading wine authority:
"Grenache, Tempranillo and Graciano were pressed after 8 hours skin contact, the Tempranillo and Graciano co-fermented... this is a serious rose made from Rhone varieties, and finishes long, crisp and bone dry; spicy red fruits ride in the saddle." Thanks James. He also writes about rosé in general: "Properly made, it’s a great summer wine, and should be taken to Chinese restaurants more frequently." That's quite right - and we reckon it works for takeaway too!
