Multiple Trophies at McLaren Vale Wine Show
What a day our Winemakers and Viticulturist had last Friday at the annual Bushing Lunch announcing the trophy winning wines from the 2014 McLaren Vale Wine Show. The newly release 2014 Alternatus Vermentino walked away with the Mercurey Trophy for Best Small Batch Wine and the coveted Chairperson’s Trophy for their Best Wine Of Show, while the 2013 Warboys Vineyard Grenache took the Vinocor Trophy for Single Vineyard wines other than Shiraz. Nick Bakkum out Viticulturist was subsequently awarded the prestigious City of Onkaparinga trophy for Best Single Vineyard Viticulturalist. Also wanting to be part of the winning team our Family Crest Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre collected a Gold medal and a swag of others collected Silvers and Bronzes.
Since focussing our efforts and attention more strongly in the McLaren Vale region the quality of all wines we are crafting from this idyllic location has really gone from strength to strength, giving everyone in the company a renewed sense of pride and enthusiasm for everything we do.
