“Deep ruby, purple rim. Ripe, juicy, black cherry, prune, cassis, and cream. Palate intense, juicy, fleshy, blackcurrant, cream, vanilla, toast, and fine high dry tannin a touch dusty. The core is delicious blackcurrant and cherry fruit with some spice, touch of warmth. Very good and hard not to drink. Generous and creamy a touch minty on the finish. Hint of warmth.”
The Warboys Vineyard is one of the Angove Family's best sites in the heart of McLaren Vale and surrounding the Angove McLaren Vale Cellar Door. The stunning site is certified organic and biodynamic and planted to some of the oldest Shiraz and Grenache vines in McLaren Vale, producing wines of full flavour and silky structure. A fantastic site, the Warboys Vineyard wines show the uniqueness of soil, site and season. The nose of this wine is initially rich and comforting in tones of chocolate and Christmas spices amidst red berry fruit. With time, the fruit becomes brighter and more nuanced floral and savoury characters emerge. The palate is powerful but poised, with textural tannins and juicy fruit—cellar Potential 15+ Years.

The Angove McLaren Vale Cellar Door is nestled in the heart of our Warboys Vineyard.
Open daily 11am - 5pm for Wine Flights, with lunch available Thursday to Sunday 12 - 3pm.

Head Chef Georgie Rogers has curated a seasonal vineyard menu that indulges you in regional flavours and textures to complement our award-winning wine & spirit collection.
A la Carte Lunch reservations 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Thursday - Sunday. We can successfully look after groups of 6 or more on our multi course Feed Me menu for $79.00 per guest.
Outside of these times, we offer a selection of smaller plates, cheese and charcuterie.
Bookings are strongly recommended.
